1st Birthday! Tacos! Christmas!

This is a big one and truly exciting for us to announce. On Wednesday 23rd November not only will it be our first birthday (oh how fast thats come around), but we will be hosting a Track brewery tasting and take-over, however thats not all. We wanted to make this truly special and a night to remember so we got in touch with an old colleague Blaise Murphy who will be serving up some Mexican goodness in the form of Tacos and sides.

Ollie worked with Blaise at Mana (Manchesters only Michelin starred restaurant) where he held position of sous chef and then progressing to kitchen manager. Blaise began his career working for Adam Reid at the French in Manchester’s Midland hotel at just 17 years old. He then progressed to work at Restaurant Moor Hall, one of just twenty two Michelin starred restaurants in the UK. Based in Aughton, West Lancashire he worked under Mark Birchall there for two years until finally joining the early team at Mana which at that point was fighting to gain its first coveted star.

So why Tacos? Blaise met his wife Jess who introduced him to the wonders of Mexico and its cuisine and he simply fell in love and has been longing to cook great Mexican food since. It’s a concept Ollie and Blaise have discussed before, it even went as far as drawing up plans for a Taco joint, who knows, maybe one day. So this is the closest we have got the idea fruition, its also the FIRST time Blaise is cooking totally his own menu, which is a real honour. This is truly going to be a great evening and I need not remind you, our loyal newsletter subscribers that we only have 10 tables available for booking. Booking for food will be essential and available from 6pm with two hours available at the table. A deposit of £10pp will be required on booking and will be deducted from your bill on the night. We are actively encouraging mingling at the bar for folk who just want to pop in for a drink and to celebrate with us. Bar stools will be removed and standing will prevail, party vibes.

And thats not all, obviously we have the amazing Track brewery in the house talking all things beer with you guys. The plan is to showcase at least 6 of their beers of various styles, all available in the usual formats of 1/3’s / 1/2’s and LARGE! As we are approaching the festive season I imagine there will be some real winter bangers for you to get your chops around.
